The University of Minho is located in northern Portugal, with campuses in the cities of Braga and Guimarães. It comes forth as a University of Projects (of research, teaching, and interaction with society), structured upon a matrix-based model which promotes interaction among its units (organic, cultural, services and specialised) and which favours multi and interdisciplinary approaches. The basic structures are the teaching and research units: Sciences, Engineering, Education, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Economics and Management, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Architecture, and Psychology.
